LEFLOX is brand name of Levofloxacin 250mg. It is an antibiotic used for bacterial infections. Infections of the urinary tract, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues and lungs (pneumonia) are treated by this antibiotic by stopping the further growth of the causative microorganisms.

Dose and Direction of Use
Swallow the tablet whole by mouth with or without food as prescribed by your doctor. Don't crush or chew the tablet. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication.
Mode of Action
Inhibits DNA gyrase activity, which in turn promotes breakage of DNA strands. It has coverage against Pseudomonas spp and pneumococcus s well.

Contraindications
Don't use this medicine if you have:
- Hypersensitivity to Levofloxacin
Precautions and Warning
- Talk to your doctor if you have medical history like stomach problem, liver problem, kidney problem, heart problem.
- Do not skip any doses and complete the prescribed time.
- Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools.
- Consult with your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
- Take this medicine two hours before or after taking other medicines like vitamins or minerals that contains aluminium, calcium or magnesium.
- Don't double the dose for the misse one.
