Information
It is broad spectrum anti-fungal drug used topically but not systemically due to its high toxicity. Can-V is Clotrimazole is 2% w/w gel used in fungal infection around or in vaginal area.

Dose and Direction of Use
- Clean the affected area before application of the medication.
- Can-V can be applied with the help of applicator at bed time for 3-5 days.
Mode of Action
Clotrimazole inhibits the fungal enzyme lanosterol-14 demethylase which leads to increased membrane permeability & fungicidal action.
Uses
It is indicated for following vaginal infections:
- Vulvo-vaginal candidiasis
- Trichomonal vaginitis
- Non-specific vaginitis
- Mixed vaginal infections

Precautions and Warning
- Consult with gyaenocologist before starting the medication.
- Follow the time and duration of the medication as per the prescription.
- If any hypersensitivity reaction occurs, discontinue the medication and consult with doctor immediately.
- Clean the affected area timely and before the application of the medication.
- Wash your hands before and after application of the medication.
- Apply the gel with the help of the applicator.
