Information
Esozol FR is the brand of Esomeprazole with sodium bicarbonate as buffer. Esozol FR helps by decreasing the amount of acid produced in stomach and also use to treat the condition of gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD), Peptic Ulcer and Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome.

Dose and Direction of Use
Once daily in the morning on an empty stomach
Mode of Action
Inhibit gastric acid secretion by blocking the hydrogen-potassium adenosine triphosphatase enzyme system (the ‘proton pump’) of the gastric parietal cell.
Uses
- Duodenal ulcer associated with Helicobacter pylori infection
- NSAID-associated gastric ulcer
- GERD (in the presence of erosive reflux oesophagitis)
- GERD (in the absence of oesophagitis)
- Zollinger–Ellison Syndrome
Contraindications
Don't use this medicine if you have:
- Hypersensitivity to the molecule
Precautions and Warning
- Monitor magnesium levels for patients expected to be on prolonged therapy or who take proton pump inhibitors with digoxin or drugs that may cause hypomagnesemia (eg, diuretics)
- Consult with your doctor if you are pregnant or breast feeding woman before taking this medicine to understand the risk and benefit ratio.
- Talk to your doctor about past medical history like kidney problem or liver problem before taking this medicine
- Don't double the dose for the missed one.
- Complete the prescribed dose and duration of medicine.
- When using this medicine for long-term, take a calcium citrate with vitamin D supplement daily to prevent bone loss.
- Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea, fever or stomach pain that does not go away.
