Panzol 40 is the brand name for the proton pump inhibitor containing pantoprazole 40mg in tablet form. It is used in treating acid reflux and oesophageal problems. It neutralizes the acid in the stomach.

Dose and Direction of Use
- Swallow the tablet without crushing or breaking or chewing the tablet.
- Take the medication before food.
- Follow the dose and duration of the medication as per the prescription.
Mode of Action
The mechanism of action of pantoprazole is to inhibit the final step in gastric acid production. In the gastric parietal cell of the stomach, pantoprazole covalently binds to the H+/K+ ATP pump to inhibit gastric acid and basal acid secretion.

Contraindications
- Contraindicated to those having allergic reaction to proton pump inihibitor
- Contraindicated to patients suffering from kidney or liver disorder
Precautions and Warning

- Do not skip the medication or double take the medication for the missed dose.
- Donot drink alcohol while you are under the medication.
- Use the medication with cautaion during breastfeeding and pregnancies
- Donot drive or do any work that needs alertness if the medication causes drowsiness
- Use the medication with proper counselling and caution for the patient of kidney and liver disorders
