Tafel-0.25 consists of active ingredient Alprazolam. Alprazolam is a prescription medication that is used to treat anxiety and panic disorder. Alprazolam is not approved for use by anyone younger than 18 years old.

Dose and Direction of Use
Swallow the tablet whole as prescribed by the doctor. Tablet may be taken with or without food. Don't chew, break or crush the tablet.
Mode of Action
- Binds receptors at several sites within the CNS, including the limbic system and reticular formation
- Effects may be mediated through GABA receptor system
- Increase in neuronal membrane permeability to chloride ions enhances the inhibitory effects of GABA
- The shift in chloride ions causes hyperpolarization (less excitability) and stabilization of the neuronal membrane, suppressing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Contraindications
Don't use the medication if you have :
- Hypersensivity to Alprazolam
- Acute narrow angle glaucoma
- Or using CYP3A4 inhibitors (itraconazole, ketoconazole)
Precautions and Warning
- It may cause dizziness and drowsiness. Do not drive or do peform any activity that require concentration until you know how this medicine affects you. Also, avoid any alcholic drinks.
- This medication might cause addiction so only take the prescribed amount of medication.
- Stopping this medication abruptly may cause withdrawal symptoms so, your doctor might lower the dose slowly.
- Talk to doctor about your medical conditions like liver problem, kidney problem, breathing problems.
- Consult to your doctor if you are pregnant or breast feeding before taking this medicine. It is suggested not to take this medicine when you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
- Misuse can cause addiction, overdose, or death.
