Vogligem-0.2 is the brand name of Voglibose 0.2 mg Tablet. It belongs to oral hypoglycemic agents that is used to reduce high blood glucose levels.

Dose and Direction of Use
It is for oral administration. It is advised to take this medicine just before the meals.
Mode of Action
It blocks the alpha gluscosidase enzymes in the brush border of intestine.The enzymes are responsible for the breakdown of carbohydates to glucose.Blocking the enzyme delays the carbohydrate breakdown and thereby delays glucose absorption.

- Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Contraindications
Don't use this medicine if you have:
- Hypersensitivity to Voglibose or any component of this product.
- Diabetic ketoacidosis.
- Inflammatory bowel disease (disorder that involve chronic inflammation in the digestive tract)
- Gastrointestinal obstruction or patients predisposed to it.
- Diabetic pre-coma.
- Severe infection, before and after operation or with serious trauma.
Precautions and Warning
- Consult with your doctor if you are pregnant or breast feeding woman before taking this medicine to understand the risk and benefit ratio.
- Talk to your doctor about past medical history like kidney problem or liver problem before taking this medicine
- Avoid any alcoholic drinks as it can worsen the risk of low blood sugar level.
