COVID-19 Vaccine Centres in Kathmandu

The CoViD-19 pandemic is a global health crisis and is a great challenge across the world. Nepal, being highly vulnerable to this pandemic, getting vaccinated is the only solution to the current CoViD-19 crisis. With CoViD-19 shots, studies have reported vaccines are safe and effective to prevent serious cases of CoViD-19. The currently available vaccines have been demonstrated to be safe for adults of various ages except for a few groups. In Nepal, vaccination centers were set up at various locations.

As per the availability of the vaccines, the government is working to make them available in the municipalities and nearby ward offices. You can contact your nearby ward office for further information.

Up to date, the vaccination campaign of the following companies have been done so far:

  1. Sinopharm- “Vero Cell” - 2 dosages required 

  2. Johnson & Johnson- “Janssen” - Single dosage required

  3. The Oxford, AstraZeneca- ”Covishield”- 2 dosages required

 

Vaccines are highly recommended and have been effective but for the foreseeable future continuing to wear masks, maintaining social distance and washing hands is a must.

After getting vaccinated, those who are flying abroad can get their vaccination certificates from Civil Hospital, Patan Hospital and Armed Police Force Hospital.
